Mumbai Climate Action Plan 2022

Mumbai joined the C40 Cities Network in 2020, to become only the fifth Indian city in the global network. The Mumbai Climate Action Plan’s (MCPA) main objective is to create a comprehensive strategy to tackle the challenges of climate change by adopting inclusive and robust mitigation and adaptation strategies.

The success of MCPA is also dependent on residents of Mumbai and their willingness to adopt sustainable choices in their daily lives to help achieve several MCPA targets. Resident Welfare Associations, Advance Locality Management groups, civil society groups and private investors are encouraged to participate, deliberate and catalyse the success of Mumbai’s first ever Climate Action Plan
