St. Mary’s SSC Visit to Aarey Colony

On August 26, 2023, students of Std 7 & 8 embarked on an educational trip to Aarey Colony. The day-long journey aimed to provide hands-on insights into nature, wildlife, and local cultures.
Activities included learning about bio fencing, exploring the diverse flora and fauna on a guided nature trail, and engaging in a food web game.
The highlight was a visit to a Warli tribal village, where students observed indigenous art, culture, and their harmonious coexistence with nature.
Notably, leopard pug marks were discovered, sparking discussions about wildlife conservation. This excursion deepened their understanding of ecosystems and the importance of preserving both nature and traditions.
The trip ended at 2:30 pm, leaving students enriched with newfound appreciation for their environment.
